Women have one of the great acts of all time. The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers. The person who came up with the expression “the weaker sex” was either very naive or had to be kidding. I have seen women manipulate men with just a twitch of their eye – or perhaps another body part. ~ Donald Trump, The Art of the Comeback, 1997

All of the women on “The Apprentice” flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected. ~ Donald Trump, How to Get Rich, 2004

When women are the advisers, the lords of creation don’t take the advice till they have persuaded themselves that it is just what they intended to do. Then they act upon it, and, if it succeeds, they give the weaker vessel half the credit of it. If it fails, they generously give her the whole. ~ Louisa May Alcott, Little Women

No book has yet been written in praise of a woman who let her husband and children starve or suffer while she invented even the most useful things, or wrote books, or expressed herself in art, or evolved philosophic systems. ~ Anna Garlin Spencer, Woman’s Share in Social Culture, 1912

A little more matriarchy is what the world needs, and I know it. Period. Paragraph. ~ Dorothy Thompson

We’ve got a generation now who were born with semi-equality. They don’t know how it was before, so they think, this isn’t too bad. We’re working. We have our attaché cases and our three piece suits. I get very disgusted with the younger generation of women. We had a torch to pass, and they are just sitting there. They don’t realize it can be taken away. Things are going to have to get worse before they join in fighting the battle. ~ Erma Bombeck

History, real solemn history, I cannot be interested in… I read it a little as a duty but it tells me nothing that does not either vex or weary me. The quarrels of popes and kings, with wars and pestilences in every page, the men all so good for nothing, and hardly any women at all – it is very tiresome. ~ Jane Austen

I would always rather be happy than dignified. ~ Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

To call woman the weaker sex is a libel; it is man’s injustice to woman. If by strength is meant brute strength, then, indeed, is woman less brute than man. If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man’s superior. Has she not greater intuition, is she not more self-sacrificing, has she not greater powers of endurance, has she not greater courage? Without her, man could not be.
